Our Twirltime classes are a fabulous opportunity for the youngest dancers in our ballet school to begin their journey in the world of dance with the security of their carer alongside of them. Adult participation and guidance is valued by our teachers and is paramount to the success of the class for your child and for other dancers. Routine and structure are important in these classes with different themes being explored throughout the year. A friendly reminder that Bebe Ballet value the safety of children and therefore the taking of photos and videos in these classes are strictly prohibited.

twirltime 18 months upwards 

This is an exciting age group to teach. Children in this level are often leaving their carer for the first time in a formal situation. They get excited quickly and have fantastic imaginations. Whilst our classes at this level are still fun we need structure and a few rules to ensure that our dancers have a safe and enjoyable experience. This is also an age that children’s personalities are starting to come to the fore and they are seeking new experiences and challenges.

3-5 year olds

We offer a 15 minute tap class to be added to either a Soloist Ballet or Bebe Bop dance class for those who are wanting to broaden their repertoire and experience another genre of dance. Tap is a form of dance where dancers use their feet as percussive instruments. Tap Shoes are worn with metal plates on the toe and heel to assist in making the tap sounds. Tap is great for fostering rhythm in dancers.
Children attending Soloist Tap classes must also attend a soloist ballet or bebe bop class.

3 - 5 years old

A class designed to get that pre-schooler experimenting with movement and music. Bebe Bop classes will assist your child to become more internally aware of their body and progress their knowledge of balance, creativity, rhythm, social interaction and discipline in a fun and nurturing environment. Term themes are used to weave a story into these classes. High Energy music is used to get our dancers moving and having fun.

3 - 5 year olds

Exploring their imaginations and their movements Bebe Yoga is designed to keep our preschool children active through movement that is fun through stories and games. Yoga poses are taught in a creative and age appropriate manner. At the end of every lesson the children explore stillness and quiet.

In these school age classes we continue to develop the children's ballet technique in an age appropriate manner. We combine ATOD (Australian Teachers of Dancing) and RAD (Royal Academy of Dancing) syllabus into our classes. Despite our using the syllabi to support our teaching, Bebe Ballet will always be full of creative inspiration and fun!

We are super excited to be adding Jazz to our School Age classes in 2020. Jazz is the most popular style of dance among dancers. Jazz pulls from all dance styles mixing them together to create a high energy style that knows no boundaries.

Hip-hop is a very energetic form of dancing. It is unique in that it allows its dancers to perform with freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities. New hip-hop dances are created all the time, and some recent popular forms include the Milly Rock, the Dab, Hit Dem Folks, the Drop, the Nae Nae, and the Whip.

5 - 8 year olds

Acro is a style of dance that combines classical ballet technique with fluid acrobatic movements. It is very physically demanding and requires strength, control and flexibility.

Our children are 7 or 8 they are invited to join our A Star Dance classes. 
A Star Dance and Performing Arts runs classes out of Glandore, Flinders Park, Brighton and Marion.
Classes currently include ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary and musical theatre.

please note that when booking into a term 1 class a deposit of $20 per class will be taken at the time to secure the class. this payment will be put on your term 1 invoice.
