Would you believe that my path to founding Bebe Ballet was anything but planned? 20 years ago I found myself at an unexpected crossroads. A friend reached out with a request: could I step in and teach a dance class at a local primary school for five weeks? With a mix of hesitation and curiosity, I embraced the opportunity, embarking on a journey that would forever change my life.
A Humble Start with a Big Impact
Armed with a portable CD player, a stack of CDs, and a heart full of uncertainty, I embarked on my teaching debut. Little did I know, those first hesitant steps would lead to profound moments of transformation for my students. As the weeks unfolded, I witnessed something magical—a shy, reserved 11-year-old blossoming before my eyes. Her newfound confidence wasn't just a testament to dance; it was a poignant reminder of the transformative power of teaching.
